LIVE IN The Wyldes
The Wyldes began its life playing host to some music-loving friends who wanted a party (and somewhere their band could play). Now it’s the biggest capacity, permanently-licenced events’ venue in Cornwall & Devon.
The Wyldes has grown in many ways, from a tiny stage made from reclaimed wood and old telegraph poles, to the massive stage that now stands that is… well it’s still made from reclaimed wood actually, just a lot more of it. From a few hundred old friends to several thousand new friends. From a desperate need for Cornwall to have somewhere we could watch our favourite bands, to being somewhere in Cornwall we could watch our favourite bands.
For ten years The Wyldes was home to Leopallooza festival – and it still is – but we realised that it was pretty cruel to invite you all down only once a year.
So, Live in The Wyldes was born.
Our first events, in 2017, were headlined by Rag’n’Bone Man and Chase & Status. Both were incredible days and nights and left us, and everybody who attended, with smiles stretched across our faces for days after.
This summer we invited Paloma Faith down to join us in The Wyldes, and she put on a show that blew us all away. It was the perfect Cornish summer’s day, one that we won’t forget for a very long time, and we’re sure you won’t either.
We already have plans in action for next year’s Live in The Wyldes, and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever.
Cornwall is a place that is far too often forgotten when it comes to tour schedules, often because there hasn’t been a suitable venue. We’re here to change that!
See you in the field x
